Roughneck of April…
April 27, 2008 by ez12k
Ask for more, overloaded… busy with everything and surely alot of stuffs breathing under my neck. That’s how I describe this month.
April hit off with a blast of happening night in SS clubbing. I supposed the happening part only happened to me only. It was supposed to be a farewell for SK (she quit the job to continue her MBA studies), but turned out to be overdo night for me. Turns out I drank so much till I drunk without any specific reason (maybe work stress got into me), head felt so heavy that I couldn’t even drove home. Apart from them, I was fetching YenNee actually, turns out she have to fetch me back home instead
Please be noted, she went back home with the assist from WeiEe who helped me that night, thank you both alot!!!
Aside from the fun part, it was rough month with the trainings/OTs. I was working 6 days a week whole month and despite it is an 8 hours work, such routine totally wore me down till today. On the nice part though, I earned extra money and seriously at times I almost fell sick, but managed to pull things off. Work has never been that nice to me recently, I supposed it just means more to come in future but in a different approach. Important thing here is to learn my own limit…
Now back to the fun side, actually I would say it is a highlight that I really enjoy it (but in expense of offending someone else, worth it :P). 3 words, "White Chocolate Macadamia". The story? One of my teammate, Vicky, "accidently" expressed his passion for cakes and Larry, also another teammate of mine, challenged him to eat his words by finishing one whole cake. Not just any cake, but White Chocolate Macadamia from SecretRecipe!!! 1 1/2 KG cake did really appear on the challenge day, I think it cost RM70++, and that’s the spirit man!!! Results, Vicky lost the challenge ugly on about less than a quarter of the cake. But trust me, a slice of the cake is more than enough cause I also get to have it as Larry became Santa Claus that day to clear the leftovers. Still, I would say it is a nice cake
As for the sum ups, well I am planning to "invest" my money into the plastic model kit hobby again, this time the targets are 5 Gundam Wing models due to the fact that I do like those series with custom mode. Heavy expense, but I’ll do this according to my budget, important here is self control (currently hit 1, 4 to go). Colleagues are planning for a trip to somewhere, while I myself have a numerous promises to fullfill in KL (yes, I do remember!)
Lastly, something which is just emotional, working here in Penang makes me miss my family all the time. I hope I really can spend more time in Ipoh with them, feels like lots of quality time lost due to the fact I am in Penang. No offense to the people in Penang, but somehow back in your own hometown with family and friends there is incomparable. For anyone of you from Ipoh regardless where you are now, I do remember each and everyone of you always, look forward to really meet up everyone
This is surely the month I already worn out. Seriously I am glad I have things to fill up although it might be too much on certain things. To know I can withstand lots of job is nice, but no interest to continue it as for now. Feels like tonight will good for resting, so I’m gonna take my nap here early now. Rest is what I want now…
Hey, seems like you have a really tough month. Hopefully May will bring more cheer to your life and work.
As for the Gundam, SiuYing has setup a group in Multiply, where they posted the shops that sell real cheap but not ciplak gundams in Penang. One of his colleague is buying directly from Japan, thus the price can be much lower than those offered in any Gundams shop around. If you are interested, just drop back to Multiply then.
With the amount of stress that you have had, it’s no wonder that you feel homesick at times. It’s normal, but hey, there’s 2 public holidays in May, so you can take a day leave and have a 4 days off from work.
Thanks for the blessing, hopefully May does mean a good sign
Gundam-ing hobby is surely expensive, however I am in no rush for it. Besides, I also have good friends around to find me good price. Still thanks for the information, might be useful…
Homesick is true, but public holiday doesn’t mean anything to me. I am still working, but I’ll make a trip back home this week
WOW working on public holidays?? got triple or not den? if got, still worth it, else.. aaii kesian..
Glad to know ur heading back this week. Rest more ar.. Im heading back next week, in conjunction with Mother’s day. Actually the main reason is that my leave for this friday got rejected due to lack of agents on that day.. sienz..
