Last Thursday 30th Oct 08 was my LDO (Last Day Office) in Intel. Mixture of emotions throughout the day, but a memorable one.

     For some who didn’t knew what happened, actually this a planned transiction for me about a month ago. Some colleagues around me already knew this plan while some didn’t. But my final day itself was nothing much of a special throughout the day. Only some highlights that I just want to say it out here for sharings.

     As usual, working on noon shifts, the time I came in, the first colleague that I saw was Vicky and he has the smile “Ah, it’s today!”. Throughout the day, actually I was much on a slower pace while giving some hints to guide Gooi (my replacement) for some work catch-ups. As time goes on, some words spread out to the managers and both Rini n Mohgan dropped by at my place bidding farewell to me. Both of them has been nice to me throughout my time here, and I sure grateful that they shared their thoughts before I left.

     Later day, Jasmine sent out the communication mail to everyone in CW team (and she spelled my name wrong, only Alva noticed it ). With such mails, comes more replies, which I do recall some are memorable. Too much to list them actually (like Alice & WeiEe give me “manyzer” title, Darek keep repeating the same thing whenever my name mentioned, BengHooi suddenly pop up with a farewell song, Vicknesh with the “dark” side thingy), I do really felt appreciated during that time and it surely gives me a good memory of having great colleagues around here regardless they are Intel or Intradeco employees. Possibly the highlight I can recall the most is a conversation between me with Jane and Lye (they are the 2nd Level team) who shared their thoughts which I found it quite useful. Thanks guys!

     After work, I silently left the building and passed my badge to the security before leave the building. Well, the night didn’t end there like that actually. A small minor group of people decided to throw a farewell dinner for me at Teluk Bayan food court and they are ChunLeong, Vicky, Darek, and BengHooi. Sometimes a simple dinner like this is already enough for me cause what matters that night was the time together with lots of conversation and sharings, especially from Vicky and ChunLeong. Quality time, plus some beers…
     After 2 1/2 years working in Intel, I finally got the change that I wanted which is a job out of technical support. For those who still don’t know where I am going, I will be based in Osram starting tomorrow under the helpdesk + network department as supervisor role. I do look forward after fell sick since Friday, already expecting some surprises already cause I made a few visits already previously. To end here, just like my last mail sent in the Intel office, I have to thank all my colleagues there, you all have been great :D

     Will share more new stories in near future. I think I should have more time to write things if I have things to write
